GLASTONBURY FAYRE FESTIVAL s/t all inserts/bag Psych NM  

1972/UK/Revelation REV 1……. here’s a clean original UK pressing of this excellent and very rare 3 lp set. The thick multi panel gatefold cover is in  strong Excellent condition with a slight touch of wear on the right edge near the top and a bit of light wear at the very top left side spine, solid and clean with no splits or other issues. The three records are all in NM condition! The labels are clean with no wear or spindle marks. A Top keeper copy of this rare gem! Please check my auctions for other rock and psych lp’s. The triple LP features:

GIGANTIC 6 PANEL FOLDOUT POSTER COVER – excellent  condition

2 FOLD OUT POSTERS – these are both in NM condition with no tears or creases (again neither of these were ever made into the poster but instead were kept intact inside the foldout poster cover and have only been handled very little.

32 PAGE BOOKLET – NM condition.

PYRAMID – this was never used and remains in EXCELLENT condition with one very light edge/corner crease and two very light SMALL handling creaSES

PRINTED POLYTHENE OUTER COVER - strong VG+ condition with light minor creasing and minor light shelf wear. The perforated edge where you open the back is still intact for a good part of the cover. It was never cut off when opened. Very nice!

One of the most legendary and mystical festivals held in the Uk, the second Glastonbury Festival was held to coincide with the summer solstice - mainly because of the deeply held beliefs of the organizers - who instead of being hard faced promoters -were pretty much immersed in the pudding of mysticism. In this sense they were far more in tune with their potential audience than those who were only into promoting festivals to make money. Those who attended this bash attest that this was something out of the ordinary , the festival transcended the usual obstacles to having a great time.

The weather was, for a British 'summer' - very good, there were no major hassles from locals,  the police or health inspectors. It shows how, given the right circumstances, a  music festival could really break through the conventional barriers that regulate behaviour and which prevent us from really being ourselves. This was one of the rare UK festivals  where the British reserve was truly dissolved and almost everyone let their hair down, the barriers between audience and performers melted, at times they became one and the film attests to the truth of this happening , its the only film of a British rock festival which is truly uplifting. Possibly one reason for this was that the event was only attended by about 7,000, and was more or less free, being subsidised by a coterie of well heeled heads.

NEAR MINT: as stated near Mint! very clean with no defect to sound or visual appearance, one scuff or mark may be permitted but it will be mentioned in the description, a near Mint record looks and plays very clean

VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal wear, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have some minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much.

VG+ the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects.
