Description

Ultra rare LP in excellent condition. One of the rarest of all classical records is this recording of the Mozart Violin Concerto No 3 and the Bach Violin Concerto in E Major, performed by Gioconda De Vito with the London Symphony Orchestra (Bach) and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (Mozart), conducted by Rafael Kubelik.

Original English Stereo pressing on the His Masters Voice Label (ASD 429) released in 1961. The labels are cream with plum lettering, gold border and a small shaded dog logo. Possibly the most sought after record released on the HMV ASD white and gold label.

The record is in excellent condition. Has one or two superficial marks, but plays superbly and sounds lush and vivid with a minimum amount of surface noise. The sleeve is excellent. Has one or two bubbles in the laminate, but is nice and strong.

Gioconda De Vito was one of the most prominent female violinists of the 1950's, and her interpretations of the classical and romantic repertoire earned her an unrivalled reputation in Europe
