CONDITION OF ACETATE...VERY GOOD (With Some Surface Marks...Side One Has A Couple Of Scuffs & Scratches On The First Track, These Do Not Effect The Playback On My Turntable...The Acetate Plays Very Well Throughout With Just A Little Surface Noise During The Run-In Grooves)

NOTES...Gillan - "Live" - Here we have a VERY RARE double-sided ,super heavyweight 12" metal acetate, on the 'The Sound Clinic' label, of the "Live" LP that came as half of the Gillan "Double Trouble" 1981 2-LP set released on Virgin records. The labels are 'The Sound Clinic' Green / Black / Yellow print with handwritten annotations on each side. This is a 100% genuine Sound Clinic acetate originally obtained back in the early 80's from an R&A man who worked for the band!

This acetate contains six live tracks with a total playing time of approximately 35 minutes. The track listing appears to be the same as the afore-mentioned "Double Trouble" release , but from distant memory, the song "If You Believe" on side two is either a different or much longer version than the actually released one!  I can't tell you for certain whether this or the other tracks are the same versions that appeared on the originally released LP or not, as I no longer have a copy of the "Double Trouble" album to compere!

This GILLAN acetate is quite probably a UNIQUE ONE OFF item!!  Acetates are extremely rare! They are made individually for in-house testing and pre-production mastering purposes only, usually in quantities of 1 to 10 copies. Packing Procedures: All records are securely and well packed in top quality material to avoid any unnecessary damage during transit.When posted the records are removed from the covers,if possible,and placed in a PVC outer protective sleeve to prevent any sleeve splits in the post. I use brand new top quality mailers, either the envelope style with super thick stiffeners to stop any sleeve bends in transit, or the “cruciform” style that wrap around the 12"/lp. I aim to dispatch within 48 hours of receiving payment . It is recommended that you choose the option for recorded delivery (within UK) or registered delivery (for Europe and Rest of the World) for higher value items . I cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged that are not shipped by recorded / registered mail . I obtain a certificate proof of posting for every item sent .
