Description
Gila: "Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee" 1973, Germany/Warner Bros. 46234. Disc has some light hairlines, plays M- except for a handful of pops in the intro of the first song on side two, so it gets a VG+ grade to be strict. I've still never had a M- copy of this LP! Cover has a tiny drill hole in the lower corner at the pocket, a few little creases, this is a pretty clean example of this fragile cover, it gets an EX grade. Has the Company inner sleeve as issued. Incredible second Gila release blows away everything else in the electric folk genre in my opinion, this is way better than Carol Of Harvest or Emtidi: "Saat", for example. Guitarist Conny Veit assembled a totally new version of Gila for this LP, both Florian Fricke and Daniel Fischelscher from Popol Vuh are on board, plus the remarkably beautiful singer Sabine Merbach. This is one of the best LPs from the German scene, hands down. You need to own this album!
