For auction is the GEORGE RUSSELL SEXTET's "Ezz-thetics," on Riverside RLP 375, MONO, DG, 1961. With Eric Dolphy, Don Ellis, others.

SOUND: VG+/NM

It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Overall, the playback is outstanding, with solid sound! There is some very minor background noise, not at all distracting. Otherwise, there were 4 consecutive, soft "tics" heard in A1, "Ezz-thetic." That is all. A terrific listen!

VINYL: VG+/NM

The vinyl is in extremely nice condition. Very clean and glossy. Under bright light, there are a few faint scuffs or hairline marks -- they all appear completely superficial. The blue "mike-and-reel' labels are in beautiful condition.

JACKET: VG+/NM

The jacket is in excellent condition all-around. The edges and spine are solid with minimal, routine wear. The corners too, are nice, with only a touch of routine wear. Both front and back covers are clean and unmarked, with minor, routine aging or wear. The top back along the border shows a little bit of waviness.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability. 

Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.  

If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
