GEORGE HARRISON LP ( 1980 )
' SOMEWHERE IN ENGLAND '

Dark Horse Records : DHK 3492 : US Promotional Copy) One of the many 'Holy Grails' for Beatles collectors.
This is the original rejected version of ' Somewhere In England ' that George submitted to Warner Brothers executives in 1980. As the story goes, they rejected four of the songs and asked George to record four replacements. In the meantime, John Lennon was shot dead and the album came out the following year. The four unreleased tracks are Flying Hour, Sat Singing, Lay His Head and Tears of the world, the replacement tracks were All Those Years Ago, Blood From A Clone, Teardrops and That What I Have Lost. This copy also includes the front and back cover artwork that was also rejected.
