This is the UK 1st Press of ‘All Things Must Pass’ by George Harrison. This earliest press is complete with the original green, purple and grey printed inner sleeves, the 1st press no border poster, the one piece box with heavy spine and gold lettering and it also includes the rare orange stiffener. This stiffener was only included in the earliest few hundred presses.
The records are in Very Good condition. The vinyl on each side has a high gloss, with no whitening of the grooves, there are however a few marks on each side and Side 2 has a scuff on track 4. The custom concert labels are completely clean. The colours are exceptionally bold, and the white is bright. The black text is sharp and there is only slight spindle wear.
The sound quality is Very Good. The vinyl lies completely flat on the turntable and from the moment it begins it is exceptionally rich and vibrant. There is some occasional noise and a couple of pops on marks but there is still excellent separation throughout.
The records are complete with the original custom inner sleeves. These sleeves are actually in pretty good condition. There are a couple of edge splits but on the whole they are very solid and clean which is rare for this set as they so delicate.
The poster is in sensational condition. Completely clean, very bright and no edge wear.
The box is in Very Good condition. The whole box is in rare firm shape. The top is still completely attached to the base and the edges are very firm with no corner wear. There is some wear on the edge of the picture and a little discolouration otherwise it is a great example of this box. The inside is sensational, bright and clean like new and it contains the RARE orange stiffener in fantastic untouched condition.
