Description
The classic George Harrison boxed set from 1970. The outer box which has a removeable lid bears the number Apple STCH 639 on the spine.
The three discs are numbered STCH 1-639 (YEX 817 on side 1 and YEX 818 on side 2), STCH 2-639 (YEX 819 on side 3 and YEX 820 on side 4) and STCH 3-639 (YEX 821 0n side 5 and YEX 822 on side 6) respectively.
This album is such a classic I probably do not need to list the tracks but, just to remind you, side 1 includes My Sweet Lord and Isn't it a Pity, side 2 includes If not for You and Let it Down, side 3 includes Beware of Darkness and All Things Must Pass, side 4 includes I Dig Love and Hear Me Lord and sides 5 and 6 are Apple Jam sessions with musicians such as Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker and Dave Mason.
The box has a black and white photo of George in his wellies with his gnomes in the garden. The photo has scuff marks and is slightly faded but is otherwise in good nick and the box itself is fine. The insides of the box are lined in orange card and the lid inside contains track and musician details. The paper covers for each disc are different colours, mauve, grey and mustardy green. There is a 60 x 90 cm folded colour photo of George looking thoughtful (or perhaps pretending to be Guy Fawkes).
When I recently played through all three discs I heard no significant scratches or jumps and, overall, the album (both box, covers and discs) which I have owned since I bought it in 1970 is in pretty good condition.
I have quoted postage for the UK. If you want to bid from abroad, please contact me to find out postage costs before you do.
