"Geno Washington and the Ram Jam Band's third Piccadilly LP forgoes the live setting of its predecessors for the studio, but the contextual shift does little to dampen their energy and vitality: Shake a Tail Feather is a celebration of the Memphis soul sound as raw and as raucous as they come. After toying with Motown covers on previous efforts, Washington remains squarely south of the Mason-Dixon line this time out, drawing on Stax classics like "Raise Your Hand," "Knock on Wood" and "Who's Foolin' Who"--the gritty sincerity of his vocals is particularly well suited for the deep soul idiom, and the Ram Jam Band is a force of nature."  - Jason Ankeny, allmusic.com

- A few light creases along the top edge.
- Slight corner bump (at bottom left).
- Minor off-colouring to the back cover, due to age.
- Small rubber-stamped "O" in dark blue ink on back cover (top right); as well as on Side Two label.
- Includes original inner sleeve in near-perfect MINT(-) condition.

MINT- RECORD with hardly any signs of previous play.
- Pristine vinyl on both sides, with impeccable audio reproduction throughout.
- No visible hairlines, scuffing or other wear to the vinyl at all. 
- Original first-pressing Piccadilly Records labels with a single spindle line on Side One.
- The matrix stamps in the run-off grooves read "NSPL 38029A - 1 ?S" and "NSPL 38029B - 1 ?S", denoting a first UK pressing.
- This copy of "Shake A Tail Feather" is fully certified to be an original UK first pressing, issued in 1967.
