GRADING

NM-: Top condition, virtually unplayed, store stock.

E+: Like NM, but with some slight imperfections, maybe tiny scuffs.

E/E-: A step below E+. A few scratches, scuffs, maybe grainy surface. Still plays like E+. E- may have tiny greying in loud passages.

VG+: Still plays loudly, though surface noise is noticeably higher and there is greying in grooves (though slight) and some distortion on peak passages. Scratches and scuffs don't affect play.

VG: More scuffs, scratches, playing still strong, though somewhat more distorted than VG+. More greying in grooves. The average 78 rpm record.

VG-: Like VG, but noisier, maybe some stripped passages, more greying in grooves, but record still very listenable.

G+: Pretty grey grooves, dull surface, no luster, but record plays loud enough to be heard. A decent filler copy. Record will do good until a better one turns up.

G/G-: Solely a filler copy that may or may not play all the way through. Significant greying, music to noise ratio about 45/55.

F, P, etc.: These records are wall hangers and I almost never sell them unless they are extremely rare.
