Description
This is a wonderful LP. It's a UK stereo pressing entitled 'From Genesis to Revelation' by Genesis. It was released in 1969 and is their first album. The catalogue number is SKL 4990. The songs are classics and are all famous. This album is a must for all serious collectors of great rock music. This version features the blue and silver Decca labels labels with the boxed 'DECCA' logo.
OUTER SLEEVE - The sleeve which is laminated on the front is in lovely condition with some minor wear and creasing on the front and some minor wear on the rear. The top and bottom edges show very minor wear but are in overall fine condition. The spine shows virtually no wear and the wording along the spine is 100% readable. It states along the spine - 'LK 4990 SKL 4990'. There is a circular hole at the top rear right hand corner which shows the blue 'stereo' inner sleeve - see below. It states on the bottom of the sleeve - 'Laminated with Clarifoil made by British Celanese Limited - Sleeve printed in England by Robert Stace'. I've graded the sleeve Ex+.
INNER SLEEVE - This is a white diecut paper type with a blue print which denotes that the LP is a stereo version.
LYRIC INSERT - This is white with red wording and it is lovely condition. There are some creases, one or two minor tears and a couple of corners which are damaged. I've graded it Ex+.
RECORD - This stereo record has hardly been played and there are some very minor surface marks on both sides. There are occasional pops and clicks but there are definitely no jumps or skips on either side. In fact, the record plays really well on both sides considering its age. The labels which are the blue and silver Decca type with the boxed logo are in fine condition. There are some minor spindle marks on both labels. The matrix numbers on the run-off grooves are - side one - ZAL - 8839 - P - 1W (stampers 1 M) - side two - ZAL - 8840 P - 2W (stampers 1 DU). I have graded the record as Ex+ and believe that this is very fair.
