Description

Welcome to my auctions! This one is for: GENESIS: FROM GENESIS TO REVELATION Original UK DECCA STEREO UNBOXED with the rare INSERT in EX – shape! This is the very first pressing with the rear window to detect Mono/Stereo inner (the latter - blue profiled- is included). Record Collector’s wrote that only 649 copies were pressed with unboxed Decca logo. To tell the truth, even boxed logo copies should be considered as originals, provided they’re housed in the early Mono/Stereo cover, as 1969 Decca albums during the “logo transition” (Stones’ “Let it Bleed” to quote one famous) were indifferently pressed with both logos. Nonetheless, this Genesis album is far rarer than commonly considered: the many reissues available turned out for many years the collectors’ attention. A generally underestimated album: not fitting for later Genesis music fans, and rather misunderstood by psych collectors, as it is from 1969 and – therefore – not “seminal”. But it should be said that all the music recorded is actually from 1967 and could rightly find its place beside the Kaleidoscope’s “Tangerine Dream”…and it’s really beautiful. Grading: Record: EX-, only two tiny hairlines (1/2 cm), plays excellent with virtually no surface noise. Cover: VG +, only light crease in the laminated cover. Inner: Blue profiled in VG nick. Insert: Mint minus WILL SHIP THIS ONE ONLY INSURED! Please, check my 100 % POSITIVE FEEDBACK and bid with confidence. Records are housed in thick and bubble padded cardboard sleeve for shipping.
