Description

GENESIS - "Selling England By The Pound" LP

1973 UK ORIGINAL VINYL ALBUM on Charisma CAS 1074 [Matrix Numbers/Run-Out Grooves: SIDE 1 CAS 1074 A-1-U Porky & Ray - Side 2 CAS 1074 - B-2-U Pecmo] [LARGE HATTER Label Design - 1st PRESSING]
Rear Sleeve with "Marketed by B&C Records..." and "Printed by E.J. Day Group..." credits
Label is Large Hatter Charisma with "Manufactured And Distributed by B&C Records Ltd" credit
What makes this copy unusual is that it contains TWO inserts (both without band photo)
The 1st is the smaller sized 'light green' card insert with the lyrics on both sides
The 2nd is an INNER SLEEVE TO HOLD THE ALBUM - again with the lyrics on both sides like the card insert - but its 'dark green-almost brown' in colour and full-album sized
The inner has no country printed on it (like the insert) but it's definitely UK issue (bought in 1973) and I've not seen one before in my years of collecting
Perhaps it's a bit of an anomoly - but there you have it

The LP, Outer Sleeve and two Inners are EX to NEAR MINT

A LOVELY and UNUSUAL COPY OF A CLASSIC FOR A COLLECTOR

The album (like all of mine) has been professionally washed and dried on the LORICRAFT AUDIO PR6 cleaning machine (pictured).

It's then placed in a new Poly-lined inner bag (with the original bag retained if there is one).?

These records don't just 'look' clean - they 'play' clean - and there's a huge difference.

All my LPs are sent in proper 12" mailers with two stiffeners (no dodgy jiffy bags).
Outer sleeve is in a HEAVY GAUGE PVC.
