A scarce Mint Condition ORIGINAL BBC Transcription Disc of Genesis performing live at the Knebworth Festival June 24, 1978. This is not one of the common bootleg BBC discs (with black and white labels or pressed on colored vinyl) but an original, ultra high quality pressing with green & white labels. These were made in extremely limited numbers--perhaps 50 only--and sent to UK and Commonwealth radio stations, which usually played them once. Consequently they are extremely rare and sought after. This is in stunning condition, and we'd guess it has been played a few times at most (some spindle marks are the only sign of any play.) Housed in the original generic sleeve this unfortunately it no longer has the "cue sheet." Superb fidelity, courtesy of the BBC's expert engineers. Tracks are Burning Rope/Ripples/The Fountain of Salmacis/The Lady Lies/Follow You Follow Me/Afterglow/Dance On A Volcano/Los Endos. The lineup is Phil Collins, Tony Banks, Mike Rutheford, Darly Sturmer and Chester Thompson, and this was the last time Genesis allowed the BBC to record them.
