This single is so rare we were beginning to think it didn't exist. It came with a collection we bought last month from the wife of a guy that used to work in the legal rights side of the music business throughout the 50's, 60's and 70's. It was only ever released as a promo and it is on the pink Charisma label. It has one hairline scratch on side one, which does not affect play and if it weren’t for that this single would be MINT. It still has that glorious vinyl shine and the striking labels on both sides are pristine and free of any blemishes, writing, marks or scuffs of any kind. We can honestly say that this is one very special piece of vinyl history that we, as sellers who see a tremendous amount of quality records, may never come across one again.
We know that half the fun in record collecting is finding that gem of an item and getting a bargain. Therefore we always start our auctions at £4.99 with no reserve. So if you see one of our very rare items and it is starting at only £4.99 there is no catch, it is what it says it is - we just think it's only right, in the true spirit of an auction, that the buyers decide the sale price and not the sellers.
CONDITION GRADINGS - Please note we do not sell records in fair, poor and bad condition. We only make an exception when a record is still deemed a quality item regardless of its condition ie one of the Elvis Presley Sun Singles and the condition will be explained in full within such a listing.
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
VINYL EXCELLENT : The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
SLEEVE EXCELLENT : The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VINYL VERY GOOD : The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
SLEEVE VERY GOOD : Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, some laminate veining or minor discolouration without any major defects, is acceptable.
VINYL GOOD : The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
SLEEVE GOOD : The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine or edge splits, discolouration, laminate veining etc.
