Description
TITLE/ARTIST: Hello and please continue to check out all current and future listings as everything from my personal collection will eventually come up for sale - records from the '50's, '60's, and much, much more - all in great condition! Here is one of those early, rare and highly collectible LP`s by 1950's-'60's super R'n'R artist's/group's, Gene Vincent and The Blue Caps - a popular singer/group known for high energy songs and performances - and crazy R'n'R/Rockabilly ways. This was just their 3rd LP release and was originally released back in 1958 - and even comes with the original Capitol Records inner sleeve. Gene Vincent was a major part of the '50's R'n'R explosion, and our musical roots and R'n'R history would not have been the same without him. It is yet another super rare album in outstanding condition - both the vinyl and the jacket, but especially the vinyl. This rare album - his 3rd - is on the original, rainbow bordered Capitol Label and is self-entitled "A Gene Vincent Record Date". The LP includes 12 great songs of his - all in MONO and all in outstanding shape (see the pictures above for all the song titles). LABEL INFO: This original, rainbow bordered, Capitol Label (T-1059) is nearly perfect with real no issues at all - I don't even see any spindle lines around the center circle, which indicates to me that it had very little, if any, actual play time. VINYL INFO: Likewise, the vinyl is also super shiny, clean, and nice with again, nothing in need of a mention. In my opinion, the vinyl honestly looks about as good as the day it was 1st purchased, although if you look closely enough under a high beam light, there are a few super light (and I do mean super light) paper lines in a couple of places. JACKET INFO: Finally, this attractive jacket is also very good, but not quite perfect either. There are some super light signs of early ring wear and a few small scuff marks along the seams and in the corner areas, but these are quite minor - and otherwise, this jacket has no serious flaws or other issues. INTERESTING FACTS: Yes, in my opinion, this extremely rare and highly collectible LP is in the really nice shape, so please have at it and continue to check this site for more great conditioned "oldies" from my personal collection. As I have already mentioned, over time I am selling off my entire collection, and there are 100's more to get to yet -- of all genre's, sizes, and varieties. Many of these still to be listed records are rare and hard to find, and most all of them are in near mint shape. So again, please bookmark my site and check it out from time to time. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!! If anyone ever needs more info than what is listed, please email me. I will respond! POSTAGE/HANDLING CHARGES: In the United States, the buyer agrees to pay $5.00 (Media Mail with Delivery Confirmation) for the first LP purchased, and then just $1.00 per LP after that-----so, buy in quantity and save. These are U.S. rates only, and all foreign winners will have to await an email me for their exact costs, although I will send a detailed invoice as soon as the auction is over---but, there too, it is cheaper to send multiple pieces. The charges for overseas are listed in the shipping category below--$23.00 for the 1st LP and then just $4.00 per LP after that. PLEASE NOTE: I take a great deal of pride in packaging all my mailings both safely and securely. However, I cannot be responsible for records that are lost or damaged by either US or overseas Postal Services. But, for additional fees, I will gladly ship the packages Priority Mail and/or add insurance! Please email me with either, or both, requests if this is of interest to you. Also, please continue to check out "rogersrecords" on ebay for future collectible records of all types. There are many more to come!
