Description
GENE VINCENT & HIS BLUE CAPS THE CAPITOL YEARS '56 - '63 CHARLY BOX108
Fantastic 1987 UK 135-track box set containing the cream of His Blue Caps' recorded output.
It has no fewer than NINE full length LP's & a four track 12" vinyl E.P. each in their own paper picture sleeve with recording details on the back. Plus it has a superb 36 page high quality full size booklet with biography & discography information inside, along with many classic photos.
With legendary Rockabilly guitarist Cliff Gallup on lead guitar.
Willie Williams on rhythm guitar.
Jack Neal on upright bass & Dickie Harrell on drums.
This line-up recorded what is arguably the finest Rockabilly & true Rock 'n' Roll EVER, and the vast majority of it is here.
The outer picture box is in VG+ condition. It does have scuffing to the bottom of the box. However, it is free of any rips or anything other than being 25 years old.
Every Vinyl Is In Near Mint Condition. Each One Is Housed Inside It's Own Particular Picture Sleeve. There seems to be a weakness in their manufacture as each has a plit down the seam which varies in length. These could be easily repaired & are otherwise in a very good + condition.
An incredible set from one of the world's greatest ever performing units.
