Description
For auction is GENE AMMONS' "Late Hour Special," on Prestige PRLP 7287, MONO, DG, RVG, 1964. With Clark Terry, Oliver Nelson, Red Holloway, others.
SOUND: NM-
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Terrific playback! The sound is powerful and crisp. Only occasional, faint surface noise keeps it from NM. Very nice listen!
VINYL: VG+
Vinyl looks nice. There are a couple faint hairline marks/scuffs either side. All look superficial. On "fireworks" Prestige label, with "VAN GELDER" stated in dead wax. Bergenfield address. Not deep-grooved.
JACKET: VG+ or better
The edges and spine are solid and straight. Corners have routine softening/wear. Front cover has a catalogue sticker upper left corner, the back a "promo" stamp. Otherwise, both covers very clean with minimal wear.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
