Hello fellow record collectors,
I'm selling off most of my record collection and I'll be listing all my metal, stoner and doom stuff first, some alternative, and then all my classic rock of various sorts, so keep an eye on my listings if you're interested. Here is a near mint copy of Fu Manchu's 1st album No One Ride's For Free from Bong Load Records 1994 pressed on red vinyl. The vinyl looks almost completely flawless, maybe one or two barely visible marks, and the cover looks great too with just the smallest of dents on the two left corners. After a number of 45 inch singles and EPs, SoCal stone rockers Fu Manchu inaugurated their career properly with 1994's No One Rides for Free, a solid collection of groove-laden tunes that would establish a formula the band would hardly touch for years to come. Produced by then-Kyuss drummer Brant Bjork (who would officially join the band three years later), this is a confident debut from the get go. After racing through opener "Time to Fly," they unleash their first classic in "Ojo Rojo," whose lyrics about hot rods and drag racing would become a band trademark. This recurring theme pervades many of the album's other highlights, including "Superbird" and "Mega-Bumpers." By comparison, the soft acoustic guitar strumming of "Free and Easy (Summer Girls)" remains a career anomaly -- though an interesting one at that. Ironically, No One Rides for Free would remain the only worthwhile Fu Manchu album for many years to come, as subsequent efforts failed to yield any truly memorable tracks, no thanks to their often non-existent choruses and nonsensical lyrics.

Shipping will cost $12.00 to Manitoba and east and $10.00 to Saskatchewan and west and all of the US. This will include $100 of insurance. International buyers should ask me the shipping cost on an individual basis and I will find out the cost. Most destinations seem to be around the $16 to $18 mark, also with $100 of coverage for small packet international air, but you should still check with me first. If you want a tracking # and a required signature it will cost more. Let me know how you want it mailed and I will find out the cost.
