Up for grabs today is the gloriously bittersweet mod/soul/psychstravaganza "Frozen Sunshine" by Rick McClellan.
Now there's two mixes of this record- the great Quad records version with the Grange Hillesque sound of the wooden scraper and the somewhat lame female vocals in back, and this:
The vastly superior Ranwood mix- more sweeping strings, more of everything- truly a scorcher!- and I hear it's doing the (Mousetrap) rounds at the moment, so get it while it's hot!

Record is mint, on ranwood demo label, in original Ranwood sleeve. B-side is cover of Randy Newman's "I Think It's Going To rain Today".
