Description
“From Me To You” by D.R.S. & Friends (Safari Records UN-7901, 1979?)
Wow! Who knew there were sitar psych records being made in Menomonie, Wisconsin? Melodic, haunting psychedelic folk with a huge array of instruments: Sitar, dounbek, shaman’s drum, tabla, marimba, congas, bongos, orchestron(?), timbales, Audubon birdcalls & Moog, plus a whole host of less exotic things like piccolo, recorder, oboe & flute. The D.R.S. in question, Dennis R. Schwulst, plays a mean acoustic guitar. The vocals are by James Kurzych, who’s got a really beautiful, gentle vocal style similar to Dennis Ryder or Michael Angelo. Brilliant cover painting of Dennis with a sitar in one hand & a crystal ball full of mystical runes in the other… dy-no-mite! Songs include: “Sun Song,” “Xyloid,” “Phylos Lullabye,” “Cambodian Winds.”
Should appeal to fans of John Palmer, Robert Lester Folsom, Lee Farmer, Dave Bixby, Tony Tam Sing, The Last Days, Michael Angelo, Dennis Ryder and other great melodic loner private pressings.
Condition: Cover = M- (In shrink, looks brand new in every respect)/ Record = M- (no spindle marks, clean & shiny, plays perfectly)

Postage for 1-2 LPs within USA: Media Mail = $4.00 or Priority Postage = $7.50, each additional LP add $2.00 (per LP).
Insurance is optional, but any uninsured package is the Buyer’s responsibility (At Your Own Risk) and I cannot refund lost or damaged packages. US Insurance rates are as Follows: 0-$50.00 = $1.30; $50.01 - $100.00 = $2.20; $100.01 - $200.00 = $3.20; $200.01 and Higher = $4.20. Overseas, please inquire.
