Würden wir sagen, es ist uns eine Freude das Debütalbum von Freiwillige Selbstkontrolle (F.S.K.) anläßlich seines 30-jährigen Jubiläums wiederzuveröffentlichen - wir würden maßlos untertreiben. Handelt es sich doch bei "Stürmer" um eines der umwerfendsten Alben in der Geschichte der deutschsprachigen Pop/Antipopmusik - und die beste BRD-Scheibe ever. 1981 auf Alfred Hilsbergs ZickZack Label veröffentlicht, war dieser Postpunk/NDW-Entwurf von Michaela Melián, Thomas Meinecke, Justin Hoffmann und Wilfried Petzi weder stilistisch noch geografisch zu kontextualisieren oder zu vereinnahmen. München war nicht Düsseldorf war nicht Berlin. Ende der 80er nochmal aufgelegt, nie auf CD produziert und seit sehr langer Zeit rar und kaum erschwinglich. Die Lücke wird nun geschlossen, denn "Ab nach Indien", "Lesezirkel Melodie", "Was kostet die Welt" oder "Kleiner Polizist" sind wieder erhältlich - es ist zu schön um wahr zu sein. Begleitet wird das Ganze von einem achtseitigen DIN A4 Booklet mit ausführlichen Linernotes von Frank Apunkt Schneider ("Als die Welt noch unterging") und zahlreichen unveröffentlichten Fotos.
After Felix Kubin's "Tetchy Teenage Tapes" some years ago we proudly present the second archival release on a-musik, actually our first reissue. Of a long o/p LP that urgently needed to be re-released since "Stürmer" is one of the most outstanding records in the history of german avantpop/punk. Originally released 1981 on the legendary ZickZack label, the debut LP by Munich's Freiwillige Selbstkontrolle soon became cult and one of the most important NDW / german postpunk releases ever. Active since today (and at the moment working on their 13th longplayer) F.S.K. soon became one of John Peel's all time favourites and actually did more Peel Sessions than any other band - well, besides The Fall, of course. For quite some time now it was hardly possible to grab a copy "Stürmer", but right on time for its 30th anniversary this seminal LP finally is reissued, accompanied by a 8 pp. booklet with lots of unpublished photos and extensive liner notes by NDW-historiograph Frank Apunkt Schneider (in german). First edition of 500 copies.
