Description

This is an extremely rare first Canadian stereo pressing of Bob Dylan's classic "The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan" album released in 1963.  (One of the holy grails of all pop records is the original US release of this album which actually contains 4 songs which were deleted by Columbia. Only a couple of copies with the withdrawn tracks are known to exist - this is NOT one of them!).

The front sleeve of this first Canadian release of Freewheelin' has in error the withdrawn track listing as shown in the cover photos. However, the record itself is the regular release and does NOT contain the deleted tracks. The rear sleeve has the revised track listing BUT with only 12 songs listed, omitting "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right" even though it is on the album. This record has red Columbia labels with black "360º SOUND" text and stamped matrix numbers: Side 1 - XSM-58719-3AA, Side 2 - XSM-58720-2C.

Please note there are ink markings on both the front and back of the cover, as well as on side 2 of the record label (see photos). On the back cover (as evidenced in the photos), someone wrote in the missing "Don't Think Twice It's All Right" track. Also, there are very faint markings on the cover where someone attempted to "strike out" the deleted songs with a pen.  Overall, the record itself is in Good (G) condition and the cover is in Very Good (VG) condition. Nevertheless, this is a very scarce copy of this album as few "error covers" are in circulation!!
