Description
Freddie Hubbard's debut LP, packed with wonderful music and musicians. A real 'can't miss' recording. FH, Tina Brooks, McCoy Tyner, Sam Jones, and Clifford Jarvis. Tunes are head-shakingly good.
Vinyl VG ++ (close to M-)
Mono. Pretty good sheen, few paper scuffs, no feelable scratches, Some very light crackle here and there, hardly noticeable, 6 light pops that I count. Plays great, and the music quality is sensational. A really wonderful recording.
Cover VG
Front and rear show slight loss of sheen due to aging. At front left and right rear, there have been 5 small pieces of tape, which have been removed; still, on the rear, stain marks remain. The jacket doesn’t have a tear. Three small scuffs on bottom seam, several on left seam, where most of print is obscured, top is good. Fine except for most discrimination of collectors.
Labels/Markings: Address is Blue Note Records, Inc.; 47 W. 63rd, NYC. Deep groove both sides, Plastilyte ‘P’ (ear) and RVG stamped in dead wax. All markings of an original pressing/release.
