Freddie Hubbard – Open Sesame
Blue Note BLP-4040
1960 Original DG 12” LP / 47 West 63rd NYC Deep Groove labels – ear & RVG in dead wax both sides
DISC: sound imperfections in spots but still plays with strong fidelity – labels are clean – no skips or sticks but both sides show surface marks
COVER: solid cover with a few defects – top seam split 2” at open end & back cover shows light soiling – liner notes are fine
SIDEMEN: Tina Brooks (tenor sax), McCoy Tyner (piano), Sam Jones (bass), Clifford Jarvis (drums)
COMMENTS: Nice copy of an extremely rare Blue Note – not a perfect copy but DG original pressings of this LP are perhaps one of the hardest Blue Notes to find
