Fred Eaglesmith - Standard [VINYL]

Description

In music industry terms, Fred Eaglesmith operates off the grid. His albums come out with minimal fanfare, and his loyal audience continues to seek them out. Standard was released the year he turned 60 - having performed his "Truthin' Songs" for two generations of roots music fans who appreciate his authenticity.
This album was recorded authentically as well: recorded live off the floor. The vocals have not been re-tuned, either automatically or manually allowing Fred to give inflections that mean they can be a little sharp or flat to give emphasis. On some of the tracks you can hear the quiet hiss of reel-to reel-tape.
