VINYL ~ The 'thick as' ( 145+ gram ) high quality record here is terrific. Glossy and overall very clean. Being deep grooved the odd light / faint mark is unnoticeable as it tracks along superbly without any lead-in hiss or skips. There is the odd, and acceptable really, tiny crackle in the quieter parts but that is apparently normal for this pressing. A pleasure to listen to really and certain to please. Rated VG+, perhaps a touch better.
LABELS ~ Both labels are clean.
JACKET ~ The gate-gold sleeve is in terrific shape. No writing or splits and the spine is intact. The faintest of ring-wear but barely noticeable really. There is also some minimal creasing ( more noticeable on the back cover ) however again very light and certainly not intrusive. The corners are okay with minimal expectant age-wear from storage … the centre-fold is clean throughout.
Overall this sleeve presents very well and is about as good as one could hope to find for this rarity.

Description : Here is a superb copy of this extremely scarce debut vinyl LP from Australian progressive blues-rock outfit Fraternity who featured Bon Scott ( post Valentines and pre AC/DC ). Recorded in Adelaide 1970, and released a year later on the Sweet Peach which was just about the first Indie label in Australia and proved to be the forerunner to other progressive labels such as Havoc, Sparmac and Mushroom.
This is one of those rare opportunities for some bidder to score themselves a belated Xmas present as it may well be many months before another of these surfaces.
A most sought after collector's item that should be given more than a passing thought.
