Description
This is a UK 1st pressing copy of Frank Zappa’s highly influential ‘Hot Rats’, released Feb 1970 on Reprise Records (tri-colour quadrant sleeve).
Interestingly the 16-track used in engineering this album at Two Terrible Guys Studios was at the time unique!
This copy has minor marks but nothing warranting further concern – with wear to the sleeve reasonable given the condition of storage for many years on a shelf.
This is a great playable example of a desirable 1st pressing, so grab a classic LP on vinyl!

FYI:
This is a collection being sold on behalf of a client, whom has been collecting some 50 years. It includes many 1st owner and 1st pressing items - the majority of which are EX condition records in EX/VG+ graded sleeves due to spine wear; having been stored on a shelf without plastic sleeving.
I operate the online-sales arm of a UK record shop and therefore aim to ensure accuracy in grading – I visually grade unless I can feel a mark which warrants further play-testing.
Many of the discs themselves only have very minor marks, but do have groove buildup due to not having been out in years - while I have hand-cleaned with Isopropyl solution and a microfibre (and then tested where needed), some have resulting minor background crackle and really would sound fantastic with a further session on a professional cleaning machine!
Starting-prices have been chosen competitively given Discogs and Popsike, and items will be safely packaged for postage; with discs firstly decanted into new separate inners, that inner and the sleeve then being placed in a new plastic outer sleeve and then shipped using professional grade record-mailers.
1) Please request an invoice before making payment if you wish for an alternative postage option based on where you live, see options below.
2) I reserve the right to request tracked postage only on high-value items.
3) I only send to Russia via tracked postage due to previous mailers disappearing!
