Up for auction is Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab's release of "Sinatra", catalog # SC-1, (1953- 1962) Limited Edition 4612 out of 10,000 sets manufactured (distributed worldwide), This is a 16 Lp box set of the late great Frank Sinatra, mastered from the Original master tapes, half speed mastered and pressed onto high definition supervinyl by the Victor Company of Japan. Each song on each of the sixteen albums was transferred exclusively by Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab from Frank Sinatra's original recording studio master tapes. You've never really heard the incredible strength and detail of Sinatra's music until you've heard an Original Master Recording. SINATRA combines MFSL's rigid quality control standards, its exclusive half-speed mastering music transference technology and the world's highest quality pressing vinyl. Together, these factors create a musical portrait of staggering dimension, an unparalleled audio soundscape of Frank Sinatra, the consummate singer. The entire SINATRA collection is housed in an elegant and protective library presentation case. In the interest of total authenticity, MFSL exclusively licensed the complete album repertoire of Frank Sinatra as it was first released in the U.S. by Capitol records. They carefully researched Capitol's master tape vaults to find Sinatra's exact and original recording studio master tapes, scrupulously avoiding second or third generation tape copies or re-issued albums. After assembling all of the original master tapes, our audio engineers meticulously auditioned each and every recording for sonic and musical impact. The high definition reproduction is so realistic that you can almost experience the sensation of being at one of Frank's legendary recording sessions. Through extensive research we've gathered together a thoroughly detailed charting of practically every musician on each of the 205 songs represented in this collection. Each recording session is also annotated by date and location. In addition, the original Frank Sinatra album cover artwork is within the SINATRA collection. Some of these vintage 1950's paintings and photographs have been unavailable and unseen by fans for over two decades. Each Sinatra collection has been individually numbered based on the order in which it was pressed. To allow you the opportunity to experience the full fledged dynamics of these Original Master Recordings even more dramatically, also included is a GEO-DISC within the SINATRA collection. This easy to use device, developed by MFSL, enables you to align you turntable's cartridge within .003 of inch accuracy. The result of that precise alignment is improved playback performance of your entire stereo system. Each individual Original Master Recording disc is enveloped in an anti-static, anti-abrasive "rice paper" sleeve for maximum vinyl protection. The sleeved album is enclosed in a stiff insert board that supplies security against breakage and warpage. These components are inserted in our specially constructed outer jacket for increased cushioning. The album packages are then inserted and catalogued in a high impact styrene divider rack, which inhibits potential warpage of the individual discs by maintaining them in absolute vertical alignment. The entire array of SINATRA components is stored in a sturdy, elegant silver and black library presentation case". I have inspected these LPs and can attest that these records are all in "Mint" condition, with the exception of 1 LP, that has 1 faint light mark that can only be seen when the LP is tilted at just right , under lights. There is one other LP in the set that has a mark on one label. The other 14 LPs in this set look new and I feel confident in stating that they are NEW and have never been played. LP number 10 has no cover, but housed in the sleeve and the insert, somehow that was overlooked at the factory (I believe).  The outside of the box has some minor flaws. I tried to reveal all the blemishes on the outside of the case in the accompanying photos.
