Insanely cool cover art on this Ferrante and Teicher release. Can you say mint? I doubt it is possible to find a nicer copy of this record jacket on the planet. It's hard to believe looking at it that it's more than 50 years old. Just superb, crisp and clean. It even somes with the original mail away postcard from Westminster Recordings (how often do you see that?). Of course, the famous cover shot is from the 1950's film "Forbidden Planet." This is perhaps the best, most representative example of space age jacket art during the 50's. A slightly higher starting price on this record which reflects the stellar condition and my unwillingness to let it go too cheaply for fear I'll never see a copy this nice again. I try to grade conservatively so you won't be disappointed when the record shows up. Based on visual grading, the LP looks VG+++++/mint minus. Oddly. although this looks almost unplayed, there is a smudge across the entire side of, um, side 1. Don't know if this affects play. The other side has a beautiful, deep black vinyl sheen. As stated above, the cover is solid mint - I doubt you'd be able to find a nicer copy if you took a time machine back to the 50's and went to several records stores. Buy this record and frame it on your wall.
I use brand new, heavy gauge cardboard LP mailers to ensure the record arrives safely. After several trips to the post office, I now realize I've been losing money on every shipment due to underestimating shipping cost together with the cost of the mailers. Shiiping prices on existing auctions will remain the same (you're grandfathered in on those) but for auctions starting now, I will ship this LP for $4.00 via media mail and $6.50 via priority mail - your choice. I will also combine shipping costs to save you money if you buy multiple LP's. Foreign buyers, contact me for shipping costs.
