Description

Original deep-groove "ear" pressing of Fats Navarro "The Fabulous, Volume 1" on the Lexington Avenue labels of Blue Note BLP-1531. There is no registration symbol on either label. The flat-rim playing surface is in nearly new condition, with a high luster and stunningly clean labels; perhaps played once or twice. The non-laminated cover has the kakabuchi at the left and top, as well as the Lexington Avenue address on the back; bright and clean throughout; slight rubbing to the bottom edge; 1/4" x 1" chip on the back slick, at the center of the spine edge, does not effect with liner notes.

Personnel includes Bud Powell, Sonny Rollins, Howard McGhee, and Allen Eager.
