Description

Fats Gaines and his band 12” metal acetate 45 with Rose Johnson vocalRuff House Rose   b/w Boozoo Chavis Boozoo Stomp (this side plays at 78 rpm) Recorded at 4 Star on 9/15/1955  Great raw female blues side as Rose Johnson sings about her violent lifestyle killing 40 women and 20 men with her knife! The flip is a good Cajun Zydeco recording.Inscribed in acetate has 4*-45-6823-H The playing grooves A side of this acetate play at 45 rpm and are in Mint- condition.  The playing grooves B of this acetate play at 78 rpm are in VG+++ with a tiny playing groove flake causing a couple skips. There’s also some brown paper residue in the beginning of acetate on B side before the playing grooves begin. It must have stood in 4 Star studio warehouse unplayed for about 70 years.
