On “Famous Encores”, Salvatore Accardo with Bruno Canino plays Ries “Perpetuum Mobile”, Paradis “Sicilienne”. Wieniawski’s “Souvinir de Moscou” and other works by Paganini, Albeniz, Smetana and others. A German stereo Direct Metal Mastered pressing (DMM) on the HMV Label (27 0186 1), the record is of immaculate appearance, and the cover is excellent.
This record is one of a collection of records that had never been played. Some are sealed*, some have a store seal** and the rest are in mint condition.
* very few records outside the U.S. were ever shrink wrapped and it was only toward the end of the LP Era that this became common.
**Some record stores in Australia before being placed on their racks would attach a seal, either to the opening of the cover, or over the inner bag.
