Description
This is a factory sealed, never-opened, never played, Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs Ultra High Quality pressing of Supertramp's CRIME OF THE CENTURY LP.
Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs released only 8 UHQR titles, each in a worldwide limited edition of only 5000 copies. CRIME OF THE CENTURY (MFQR 1-005) was the first of these titles released. Factory sealed copies of this 1981 release are extremely rare.
The disc itself was pressed by the Victor Company of Japan, on 200 gram HD "Super" vinyl, from a half-speed master recording.
The record is housed in a 3/4-inch black cardboard box. Because this is a sealed copy, that's all I can provide pictures of. However, I do own a copy of the MFSL UHQR Sgt. Pepper, which I did open, and can tell you this:
On the inside of the box lid is a pouch, which contains a Technical Specification Manual, and a signed UHQR Certificate of Authenticity.
The record is housed in a separate inner album cover and static-free inner sleeve. It is sandwiched between two 1/4-inch foam protectors.
I might also add... it sounds amazing.
Please examine the photographs closely... this is the record you are buying. Note that the line down the spine is the seam of the shrink wrap, and not a defect on the box beneath.
This particular item will be carefully encased in bubble wrap, shipped in a box (not a media mailer), and insured.
