This disc features a kicking drummer; funky tight bassist; no disco beats. Styles: soul, slow jam and funk. A small-label rarity. Side 1 features female vocals, tracks 1-3; track 4 is a funk instrumental with tight slap bass. Side 2 features male vocals on all tracks in the following styles: track 1 nice soul; track 2 killer funk; track 3 killer slow jam.

CONDITION

LP: VG+ Audition: both sides play very clean throughout with a few light non-repeating ticks; condition reveals some play wear and the disc plays with vinyl rush typical of LPs of the era. An very nice copy of a rare record. You will likely not find many copies that play cleaner than this. Visually: surfaces appear clean with nice lustre and gloss; there are a couple of finer-than-a-hair scratches per side which do not affect play.

Labels: M-  both labels are clean and free of wear or spindle trails and with tight clean center holes. (See photos of both labels below.)

Jacket: VG+/VG light to moderate ring wear on front; moderate edge wear at top and bottom seams (see detailed photo); light to moderate edge wear at spine; back of jacket is soiled with what looks like shoe sole treads; back of jacket's band photo has small abrasions to the faces of the band members (see detailed photo).  No other wear: no deletion cuts, notches, punches; no split seams or other wear.

Packaging

All LPs are shipped in new poly outer sleeves and new paper sleeves when called for. All open LP records will have the discs removed from their jackets before shipping. All LPs are carefully and sturdily enclosed in bubble wrap and enclosed in a new corrugated cardboard LP mailer, which is reinforced with heavy duty packing tape or duct tape. The weight of a single LP packed properly is about 1 lb 3 oz. My packing is sound and secure, but I always recommend purchasing insurance to cover your purchase.

I have had several questions about the reserve.  The reserve is set at $380.00US.

This LP actually deserves the word "rare" associated with it.  As you may know and in my 20+ years experience, vanity or private label issues were seldom pressed in quantities above one or two thousand, very frequently in quantities less than 1,000 and often in the lower hundreds.  How many survive is the collector's question.
