Grading and Abbreviations

ALL records are visually and play-graded.  

Visual grading under a strong light source 

Play grading on Technics 1200 with Shure White Label cartridge

Vinyl Grades
M-  =     New, usually unplayed store stock

VG++ = Light marks from paper sleeve, handling. or few spins
VG+  =  Limited surface noise, very light wear
VG =      Surface noise, marks and light scratches, still some shine
VG-  =    Much surface noise, scratches, dull surface
G   =       Can’t really sell for listening, only for filler

Lp Cover Grades

SS  =     Still Sealed

M-  =     New looking, almost perfect
VG+  =  Typical for used, very light wear on corners/seams, slt. ringwear
VG =      Shelf/crate wear, ringwear, worn corners/seams
VG-  =    Much surface noise, scratches

tol,c,s - Tear on label, cover, sleeve
wol,c,s - Writing on label, cover, sleeve

lbl - paper label on cover or label
nap - Not affecting play (e.g. storage warp)

rngwr - ringwear

When there are two grades: For LP, EP, or 12in single records that have covers, the first grade is cover, second is disc... otherwise they refer to the A-side and the B-side.

Payment for those in North America is by PayPal, money order, or cashier's check.  PERSONAL CHECKS ACCEPTED but no shipping until bank deposit verified.

Payment for the rest of the world is by PayPal ONLY

IMPORTANT: in the U.S., the purchaser must remit payment within 10 days of the closing. INTERNATIONAL purchaser must remit within 14 days.

Secure packaging

Careful packaging is the policy!  I use sturdy cardboard boxes, and will not use lesser, inadequate packaging in order to reduce postage.  Packed and shipped by a RECORD COLLECTOR!
