FRUUPP – Future Legends ORIG Dawn LP / DNLS 3053 (UK, Stereo, 1973)
Happy to present maybe THE best surviving original UK copy of Fruupp’s 1973 debut LP. As a quick overview I can say that it looks like this LP has barely been touched or handled never mind played. SO FRESH FOR 38 YEARS!
The non-laminated textured gatefold sleeve has no reference to manufacture. There’s virtually NOTHING wrong or untoward with this sleeve. It looks like it’s just been brought home from the shop. NO creases AT ALL, NO edge rubs, NO corner wear or softening (corners are nearly 100 % sharp), NO feathering of the opening edges. NO ring impression. Other than a little sun bleaching to the spine and slight near invisible rubs to the front top, it looks near to new, is flat and without rippling and is just a pleasure to hold. Confidently grades a true M- (Mint Minus).
The correct 1973 white, pink & blue Dawn labels are close to ‘as new’ with just ONE light, near invisible spindle trace per side. Otherwise, as good as you will find for an album of this vintage – NO writing, foxing, residue NO NOTHING!
The medium weight vinyl looks to have only had ONE play. I rarely speculate on how many plays a record has had. If you’re not the original owner, how can you ever know? But the fact that the labels show hardly any use and this vinyl looks SO VIRGINAL WITH FULL SHINE, NO MARKS AT ALL (no scratches, hairlines, scuffs, no craters, bubbles or embedded dirt) convinces me that this hasn’t been out of its sleeve more than once before and once for my careful test play. Visually, it looks near factory fresh with just a single finger smudge to the run off on Side 2 and will surely delight any connoisseur collector who has been looking for a top copy of this. Grades M- (Mint Minus) without doubt or fuss. IT HAS BEEN CAREFULLY LISTENED TO and bar a click per side, plays like new with NO crackle, NO snap, NO distortion or loss of definition and silent run-in and run-out grooves. Of course NO jumps or sticks/repeats. Brilliant!
Supplied in its original, plain inner sleeve. This is perhaps the best UK original of Fruupp – Future Legends you will ever find. No reserve.
