Description

FRIJID PINK

ORIGINAL 1970 HARDROCK LP

Beautiful Condition!

This auction is for an original copy of Frijid Pink - self titled - Parrot PAS 71033, their very cool first LP with the monster hit "House of the Rising Sun." This single reached #7 in the US in '70. GRADING: Disc graded EX, full gloss, just a few light marks/hairlines, can only be seen under bright light. Labels are clean, maybe one spindle mark if you look close. Could have only been played a couple times. The cover is graded M- with no wear on front or back. Very TINY bit of edge wear at lower right corner. Comes with the original hype sticker that was cut off shrink wrap when it was removed (see photo). Biographical information taken from All Music Guide: "Detroit hard rockers Frijid Pink formed in 1967, originally comprised of singer Kelly Green, guitarist Gary Ray Thompson, bassist Tom Harris, keyboardist Larry Zelanka and drummer Richard Stevers. After two years of relentless touring throughout the southeast Michigan area, the group -- substituting Harris for new bassist Thomas Beaudry -- signed with the Parrot label in 1969; although their first two singles, "Tell Me Why" and "Drivin' Blues," failed to attract much attention, their third effort for the company -- a distorted, guitar-heavy interpretation of "The House of the Rising Sun" -- reached the Top Ten on the U.S. pop charts, becoming an even bigger hit overseas."

Bid with confidence as I have graded and sold records for 25 years. I am also very careful when packaging records. The disc is placed outside of cover and attention is paid to the corners of the package so that the corners of the LP cover will not be damaged during transit.
