A2/B2 Matrix

This is the highly sought after first album from Free. All the band members were under 20 years of age and had made their reputation from touring extensively.   This album comprises mainly material from their live set.
The record features the iSLAND "Pink Rim" labels and has the earliest matt finish gate-fold sleeve printed by Ernest J Day & Co.
This copy was part of a recently acquired job lot.  Details on condition are set out below - essentially the vinyl is fine; the sleeve could be better.

Gradings follow the standards recommended in Record Collector Magazine's grading guide.  If anything I tend to be conservative - I see no point in overstating the gradings.

  • Vinyl: VG+ A few light scratches and surface marks.  Plays through without skips or jumps; a little background noise in places. 
  • Sleeve:  GOOD+ - quite worn around edges and on corners and some storage wear on front and back faces.  
  • The spine has been reinforced with a pattern-matched strip (not a completely true colour match).  
  • The inside is undamaged although "Robert Leighton David" has been written on the inside in biro (I think)
  • The spine is clearly legible.
  • The labels are clean and unmarked.
  • The plain paper inner is clean and undamaged.
