Palette MPB S-3281 – The Free Pop Electronic Concept – Rare 1969 Dutch Stereo LP – Lineup: Jess (electric guitar); James (bass); Scott Bradford (organ); Stu Martin (drums); Vinagre (Percussion – Tumba) – Quoted from the back cover liner notes: A very easy and simple way to define the above concept which, on this particular recording, has been called “Free Pop Electronic Concept” should be the following recipe: “Take a third of free Jazz and another third of Pop Music, a third of electronic music, add several pinches of technical performances, shake and serve cold on a great record player… the ear, however, should be warmed up” – Cover: VG+ (some edge/corner/ring wear, some lamination lifting on the left side) / Record: Close to NM (few light surface hairlines).

Normally, the records are visually graded only. Depending on the condition by visual inspection, I may also play grade them and report any flaws.

 

I use “Goldmine Magazine” grading method, in accordance with the following sequence:

  • MINT (M) 
  • NEAR MINT (NM)
  • VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+)
  • VERY GOOD (VG)
  • GOOD (G)

(+ or -)  Slightly better or worse than the grade given.

 

My highest grade for a non-sealed record is usually NM (Near Mint).
