Description

Blue Note Records 84168, this is an original US stereo pressing - NOT  a reissue - of the super rare Freddie Roach LP "Brown Sugar".  Roach is joined on this date by Joe Henderson, Eddie Wright, and Clarence Johnston.  This pressing has the classic blue and white labels with the "New York USA" address notation; there are no "deep grooves" under the labels. "Van Gelder", "Stereo", and the infamous "ear" symbol are clearly stamped in the trail off on either side.  Jacket is EX, showing mild handling at edges and the faint beginnings of ring marks at bottom center, while the back of the jacket shows some age spotting.  LP is a shiny and clean EX-/VG++, showing some minor paper/surface marks on either side.  Sound quality is solid throughout with the occasional low crackle and such, while labels are crisp with no spindle wear.  First original pressing of this one I have come across in years!  Buyer pays $4.00 media shipping in the US or $16.50 airmail overseas.  Thanks for looking and good luck!
