    BRISTOLS No.1 RARE RECORD SHOP         *Item for sale*     FREDDIE REDD ~ The Connection ~ BLUE NOTE US MONO WEST 63rd RVG EAR 1960 1ST 

This is an original US first pressing of "The Music From The Connection", music composed 
by Freddie Redd, featuring Jackie McLean, Michael Mattos, Larry Ritchie and of course 
Freddie Redd on Piano. The labels are both deep grooved, with 47, West 63rd addresses, 
RVG and P, or Ear as some refer to it, etched on both run-outs.43 West 61st cover address.

The front cover is clean and free of creases. The spines are all strong and there is very 
little wear to any of them. Some minor wear to the extreme corners and open edge.The 
rear cover shows some overall shelf soiling, no writing, just a little creasing towards the 
top edge.

Both labels are clean, both have a few spindle marks, more so on side two. The vinyl 
surfaces look bright and clean, with no feelable marks and only a few light hairlines on 
either side, again more so on side two. 

Playback is generally very good, some noticeable background on the run-ins, very light 
background between some tracks, a little during quieter passages on occasions, but 
nothing that overly distracts from the listening. So not an audiophile copy, but one with 
lots of life left in it and still a joy to listen to.
