Description
Frank Sinatra 16 LP set of recordings between 1953-1962. This is the Limited Edition re-mastered box set by Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab from 1983 # 2164. All LP's in the set were created from the Original 1st generation studio master tapes and pressed on longer lasting, ultra super virgin vinyl. The set includes a geo-disc which is used to make sure your cartridge is properly and accurately aligned. The set was released in October of 1983 and is now long OUT OF PRINT.
The box has issues that I have tried to photograph. The left side of the box is in good order however, the right side which opens to access the LP's is another story. The top right has a 7 1/2 inch seperation while the bottom right is about 2 inches on the bottom henge and 2 inches on the top. The second flap/door has about a 1 inch at the top and a 2 1/2 inch at the bottom. I believe that repairs can be easily made to considerably improve these areas. (See Photos)
The covers and jackets are nice for the most part with an occasional minor crinkle or ding.
The LP's are VG++ or better with the exception of ALL THE WAY which has a scratch on the B Side which effects the last few seconds of the cut Ol' Mac Donald and all of cut This was My Love and the first few seconds of cut All My Tomorrows. These do not jump or hang but the scratch can be felt with the finger tip. (See Photo) With this exception the set seems to have seen very little play.
