AMERICA A Horse With No Name Released in 1971, this rare vinyl LP was the debut album from the celebrated folk rock trio. Sleeve shows minimal shelfwear & the vinyl is in great shape. Drawing upon the softer side of the hippie folk scene with a more refined sound, America garnered a string of hits for themselves in the '70s. With a rich, acoustic base and lush, high tenor harmonies, songs like "Sandman" were instantly successful. The band's breakthrough single was the slightly country-tinged "Horse with No Name," (which hit number one) that owed a debt to the craftsmanship of Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young. America displayed the band's sensitivities with "Clarice" and "I Need You," the latter charting at number nine. While the band made a name for itself on the strength of "Horse" alone, the rest of the record deserves attention, too. While "Riverside" and "Children Here" never reached the status of later hits like "Sister Goldenhair" or "Lonely People," they still command respect.

Promo release with no copy on front of cover shows minimal shelfwear & the vinyl is flawless - a nice copy! This was a must have album when it was released in 1975. It was a big hit (peaking at number 3 on the Billboard album chart) and was one of the biggest selling albums of the 70's, selling more than 5 million copies. Every song on here is good and was a hit.
AMERICA Hat Trick 1973 US 11-track LP complete with original lyric inner & large double sided fold out textured full color poster, picture sleeve. The sleeve shows some minor signs of wear, but the vinyl looks fabulous. This album was their most ambitous effort to date. They run the gammit on this one, from harder rock (Green Monkey), to soft pop (She's Going To Let You Down), to folk rock (Windwave) and everything in between (Hat Trick). They make more use of strings than on their any of their previous work. If you are an America fan this album is a must.
AMERICA Holiday This Original release in 1974, Warner Bros 'Burbank' label 12-track vinyl LP produced by George Martin, picture sleeve including photo portraits/lyric inner. Both sleeve and vinyl remain in excellent condition. This was legendary Beatles producer, Sir George Martin's first collaboration with America. This album was a big hit in the US in 1974, peaking at 3 on the Billboard album chart, sold a million copies, and has some of Martin's best production work! The album contains two of America's biggest hits, Tin Man and Lonely People, which still get airplay more than 30 years after their release. Simply a solid performance by America and George Martin!
