RARE 1978 LA PUNK ORIGINAL E.P. ON UPSETTER RECORDS
FLESH EATERS
DISINTEGRATION NATION / TWISTED ROAD
AGONY SHORTHAND / RADIO DIES SCREAMING
In the on line music magazine- Perfect Sound Forever, Jay Hinman describes, in his article HEAVY PUNK THUNDER FROM THE LAKE OF BURNING FIRE, the Flesh Eaters thusly: " The Flesh Eaters were a rock beast every bit as ferocious as their name, a bolt of heavy metal thunder and subterranean howl in place with one of the finest Ameircan rock-n-roll meccas of our time--Los Angeles in the early 1980's".
Formed in 1977, the Flesh Eaters, led by punk raconteur Chris D. (Desjardins), stormed the LA scene through the heydays of the late 1970's and early 1980's. Released in 1978 on Chris D.'s Upsetter records label, the 4 song "Disintegration Nation" EP is a testament to the cutting edge and frenzied power of that scene.
In storage for the last 30 years, the offered EP is super clean, let's say M-only played a couple of times to transfer to tape then to CD for regular listening. The inside of the folded outer sleeve are pictures of the band and song lyrics.
