From Boston, Massachusetts in 1968 comes Flat Earth Society with their LP entitled Waleeco - named after the candy bar they recorded an advertisement for - on the obscure Fleetwood label.

This slice of perfect garage/psych has enchanted lucky collectors for 40 years and is considered by many to be the greatest American private press psych record ever made!

Not only does it have an outstanding multi-colored cover, the band can play and sing and more importantly, they wrote all but one of the songs on the LP - very unusual for the Don Kischner pre-fab times in which is was recorded!

Cover is in EXCELLENT condition with only light wear! There is a small dent in the spine which is only visible upon close inspection and a small bend below the band photo. Like many copies which have appeared over the years, there is evidence of a price stamp (39c?) along the top, in the letter "S" of Society.

Vinyl is an amazing NEAR MINT with no indication of having been played, no spindle marks on either label, just a few light scuffs!!

Remember, only a few hundred of these were ever pressed and this is your chance to get an OUTSTANDING condition copy! AN ESSENTIAL LP!

PLEASE NOTE: We have set our shipping prices to cover costs on an average basis. You may be charged slightly more - or less - than the actual cost of postage; Priority postage varies according to destination, records and jackets vary in weight, all of which makes it impossible to set an exact "correct" price for all customers, especially internationally. We ship all LP's in new (unused) custom LP mailers. We pack records with filler pads, placing the disc in an inner sleeve outside the cover to prevent seam splitting in transit. Part of our postage fee covers the cost of the mailer and pads (which currently costs us up to a dollar per).

RECORD GRADING POLICY

MINT = like new or near new with only one or two small insignificant defects, a 9 or better on a 1-10 scale

EXCELLENT = Would be Near Mint, except for a couple of light hairlines or scuffs, which do not affect play

VG++ = still a very nice record with all or nearly all of its original gloss but may have a few more light, surface marks, hairlines, needle tracks or the like which should not materially effect play

VG+ = a nice, but used record that may have a series of light scuffs or scratches. It probably plays with a few pops, but has no serious problems.

VG = a well-used record that still should sound OK when played, but may have moderate surface noise, pops, etc.

VG- = a very well-worn record that plays through without skipping, but will do until a better copy comes along.

Good = not actually good at all but probably will play through but with much in the way of surface noise, pops, crackles, etc. Still, will have no cracks, chips or the like

Fair = you’re getting this record just to own but not to play

Poor = the sky’s the limit, generally I will discard a record this bad (and sell the cover, jacket or sleeve alone) unless the label holds some particular interest
