Description
Finnforest is a first-rate fusion/prog band from Finland that formed in the mid-1970s, and is especially noted for its outstanding guitar playing. As Lise Hibou notes, writing for ProgArchives, “Mostly influenced by the Mahavishnu Orchestra, their style also evokes early Camel, Finch and Caravan. Their music is characterized by energetic and spirited guitar/organ interplay, interesting compositions and very good vintage 70's jamming overall. Unlike many fusion bands of that era, their three albums have a very under-produced, spontaneous feel. Their eponymous album, released in 1975, is perhaps their most Mahavishnu influenced, with Rissanen sticking largely to his Hammond organ and using his synths sparingly, to mostly good effect. Fusion afficionados in general as well as fans of Focus and Arti E Mestieri should definitely check these guys out.” Released in Finland on Love Records in 1975. The U.S. Post Office has just raised the postage rates...again. In the U.S., postage would be about $4.77 for one LP sent by Media Mail. Package insured upon request. Winners outside of the U.S. will be notified of postal fees, but an approximate cost for one LP to many countries is $16.20 by airmail (but Canada and Mexico will be less than this for most single LP packages). If you bid on and win more than one item, you WILL save on postage! Note: I do not gouge on postage and packaging costs. Record will be carefully packaged in a strong, oversized LP mailer.
