CONDITION :-Record  : VG(+) Though the record is far from mint, you can see numerous scratches and hairlines, the sound quality is ( knowing it's age and history) pretty clear and the few clicks are not that disturbing.

The audio is taken directly from the vinyl.The sound may be a bit thin but be sure the record sounds much richer.

DESCRIPTION :

In 1966 Philips did bring out Ferre's "Ring ring I've got to sing/We want war" and it became a now a much sought after success.Not many people know that did wasn't his first release.

A few months earlier ,the Muze,a jazz-club where he did perform financed

his first single Ring ring I've got to sing  coupled with  Maureen unlike the later Philips release.

Ring ring is a different(slower) version to the later Philips take .

Most copies were sold on the "place of the crime " and you can imagine how the record was looking after a beer drinking ,sweating ,skiffling drunken night.

Knowing the minor quantities in which te bigger labels pressed for the Belgian market you can imagine  that a private sponsor talked micro quantities.

All this to say that not that many  did survive the sixties unmarked.If  they survived at all.

This is only the second time I did find a copy and I can assure you I did see a couple of summers and winters.

This is really one (the) TOP belgian single and impossible to find.
