FELT - ‘Ignite The Seven Cannons' - 12” vinyl LP - 1985 A pre-owned copy of the original 1985 French/European pressing of the FELT album, ’Ignite The Seven Cannons’. Originally released on Cherry Red records, B RED 65 A & B RED 65 B. This record was pressed in France. Key points about the LP (ChatGPT): It’s one of the bands most distinctive records, produced by Robin Guthrie of Cocteau Twins, which gives it that lush, dreamy, almost ethereal sound compared to Felt’s earlier, more jangly guitar style. Frontman Lawrence aimed for a more “romantic” and expansive sound here. The production leans heavily into reverb and atmosphere, sometimes softening the band’s usual sharp edges. Tracks like “Primitive Painters” (featuring Elizabeth Fraser) are often considered highlights. Overall, the cardboard cover is in good condition with only very minor wear.
