FAT MAN RIDIM SECTION - Bald Head Justice (Top Ranking Sounds) - LP - 1978

Tracks: Straight To Cuddley's Chest (Silver And Gold Dub), Wariera Hill Rock (I've Got The Handle Dub), The Black Spy (Standing Firm Dub), Joshua A Loaf (Healing Of The Nation Dub), Copper Bullet (Wanted Dub), SMG Skank (Sinners Dub), Laughing Babylon (Ital Light Dub), Pass The Pipe (Peace Treaty Special Dub), Badness Never Pay (Bionic Skank Dub).   Very nicely presented original 1978 pressing of this classic Top Ranking Sounds LP, which is actually the dub of Jacob Miller's Wanted album. H-E-A-V-Y dub riddims recorded at Harry J's, engineered by Sylvan Morris, mixed by Errol Thompson, and featuring Sly Dunbar (drums), Calvin McKenzie (drums & percussion), Robbie Shakespeare (bass), Ian Lewis (guitar), and Bernard 'Touter' Harvey (keyboards). The vinyl retains a very good sheen with just a few very light superficial surface marks and a couple of fine, very light hairlines - nothing significant. Bearing in mind this is a JA pressing from the late '70s, it plays beautifully - see descriptions below.   A-side: There is a tiny amount of intermittent background surface noise - hardly audible in fact - with some tiny and occasional very small pops and clicks. Grade - EX-/EX

B-side: There is a tiny amount of intermittent background surface noise - hardly audible in fact - with tiny and very small pops and clicks plus just a few slightly more prominent ones. Grade - EX-

Labels: Both labels are pristine (see scan).

Sleeve: The heavy card sleeve is totally split along both the top and bottom, though the edges are still quite crisp. It appears that some tape was applied in the past as there is some very slight discolouration visible and some small areas of scuffing, mainly on the black border. There are two more prominent scuffs beneath the AL of "BALD" and JUSTI of "JUSTICE", which catch the bottom parts of the letters (see scan). There is a staple mark at the centre of the top edge, plus one further small scuff (3cm x 1.5cm) on the back cover, though this does not affect the text or graphics.
